Today is the last day to nominate a chef or restaurant for consideration in the 2008 James Beard Awards. Be sure to read the fine print on who qualifies. There are requirements, notably chefs must be in the region for at least three years to be considered and for the big national awards, restaurants must be open for at least 10 years. Nominations close at midnight so there’s still plenty of time to nominate Dave Chang for best chef in NYC, if only to guarantee the return of the party bus in ’08.
