Today I bring you a little mixed bag of news from tvland. (Mario roast recap post coming as soon as I get the photos.)

.

This week, the final episode of the second season of Bravo’s Top Chef is being shot in Hawaii. The Top Chef is being chosen as you read, although the broadcast schedule is only up to episode four. Sources say that they managed to keep a lid on all the information last season with a very serious confidentiality contract (or you get fired) signed by everyone, everywhere involved in the project. Assume the same legalese is in effect this season –which makes it a great challenge to see if anyone out there has the scoop?

.

Recall the summertime news of Rocco Dispirito shooting a reality show pilot for A&E? The concept: Rocco goes into people’s kitchens and helps them with some culinary quandary or special event. Rocco’s 911, if you will. Said pilot has been shot, according to sources on the production. The subject of Rocco’s culinary makeover is a woman who owns a speed dating service, but ironically is single and sans date. Apparently, the moral of the story is "nothin’ says lovin’ like somethin’ from the oven." Sources say A&E loves the pilot and is expected to pick up the series as soon as they can figure out the time slot. Seems they can’t decide if it’s a daytime lunch show or prime time dinner theatre.
