Westheimer will be at Bottlerocket with the latest edition of her bestselling guide, Sex For Dummies®. Dr. Ruth’s new book has everything you need to know about sex, whether you are having sex for the first time, dealing with teenagers’ common concerns about sex, or need advice on “sex in your golden years”.

Held in its loft-like Flatiron retail shop, Bottlerocket’s free event series, the Eclectic Salon, brings together people, wine and ideas, perfectly reflecting its credo: buying wine should be as fun as drinking it. Featured guests in 2006 included former U.S. Poet Laureate Billy Collins, wine writer Jancis Robinson, restaurateur Danny Meyer, indie movie producer Christine Vachon and Alex Prud’homme, co-author with Julia Child of the best-selling My Life in France. Dr. Ruth is the author of 31 books, as well as a well-known lecturer and teacher. Her path has led her from training in the Israeli military, to studying and teaching psychology at the University of Paris, to her pioneering TV show “Sexually Speaking”.
