I still expect to have further details coming today on the state of affairs at Aquavit/Grayz, but here’s my current status report. To recap…

Back in March, Gray Kunz announced plans to take over the Aquavit space and called it Grayz. Initial opening was this fall – delays pushed it along.

A few weeks ago reports surfaced the deal was not happening. Then broker invites went out to visit the space, with details on the asking rent, etc. This precipitated my Tuesday post, which started the snackphone a-ringing.

It seems that the space went on offer for a brief period whilst financial t’s and i’s were being crossed and dotted. All the Benjamins are now aligned and in place, though my sources seem to differ on when exactly that happened – some say a while ago – some say just two days ago.

Sources also say team Grayz now has the keys to the space and is moving full-steam ahead on the project. New opening is now slated for sometime spring 2007.
