The fall season wouldn’t be complete without a little action from the Michelin man, and this year we’re getting it on both coasts. For those of you joining us mid-broadcast, here’s a little pre-game show to get you warmed up.
.
First up, the debut of the Michelin Guide San Francisco and the Bay Area 2007 (no, Los Angeles is not included). Look for results and press release around October 2nd and books in stores a couple days later. Next up is the second edition of the NYC guide. This year’s release is all about endurance, who maintained their stars, along with promotions and, of course, demotions.
.
You may recall that the American guides are different from their European counterparts in that they have a limited selection of hotels and restaurants, color photos and descriptive text. The news on this year’s editions is that the recipes have been eliminated, replaced by menus. Apparently the US books are a work in progress in more ways than one.
.
Stay tuned as there is much more news to come. Game on.
