Attention desert gourmands! Über-chef Joël Robuchon is ready to open his first two US restaurants in Las Vegas- now. Sources who recently toured both eateries say the staff is getting ready to open l’Atelier de Robuchon Friday and Joël Robuchon on Saturday. Although, according to the restaurant reservation line at the MGM Grand, Joël Robuchon opens for business next week, on Tuesday.

The restaurants are located side-by-side on the casino floor at the MGM Grand, are trés jolie and must have been trés cher – because of things like the expansive and ultra-equipped kitchens and the custom designed plates from Bernardaud. The kitchen crew is comprised of many long-time Robuchon staffers from France and Japan, who are working hard to hit perfection for opening day. Planning to eat at Joël Robuchon? Hope to win it big at the slot machines outside, because the tasting menus are $195 for nine courses and $295 for fourteen. L’Atelier (Robuchon’s casual take on sushi and tapas bars imported from Paris and coming to NYC) does not take reservations, so just walk on in.
